is taking a bus trip sustainable?

yesterday i went to a university campus. this campus, to be exact. among all the trimmed grass, designed landscape and 'convenient' buildings, there were animal bones scattered all around. probably originated from the cafeteria garbage cans. crows and dogs were picking on the last remaining morsels of meat on the bones. it gave the otherwise sterile campus such a feeling of 'reality'. and 'unreality' as well. i don't know. it was carnal and crazy. i wish i had my camera with me. next time...

february sucks too

if my blog was my husband, he would divorce me because of my negligence. my carelessness. my indifference. apart from being happy about the awkwardly sunshiny, warm/cold, windy weather, i have been quite down. i hate feeling the pressure of people over me. dependence is such a buzzkill. but such is life... is going away an option?

why do you think the first ray of sunshine gives this 'i can go anywhere' illusion? look where i want to be.

¡nos vemos!

life's muddy road

today i went to an industrial area for an interview. i don't how the industrial areas in your country are, but here... they are pretty shabby. dirty. muddy. nothing but endless rows of funny-looking factories in various shades of grey, covered all over in soot.

i had to walk part of the road, right next to the highway and without any sidewalk. mud, dirt, mud, earthworms, molten snow, more mud and nylon bags with the occasional pebble. cars passing by in impossible speeds (can i say 'speeds'?). i was all dressed up for the occasion (well, the best 'dressed up' that i can be, but that's another entry). first i tried to avoid the filth; but once i took a few steps, i just gave up. i had to walk around 1-2 kms like that, so i let the mud spot my stockings and my boots get stuck in the slosh. i was pretty much a mess when i reached the interview spot. mmm, how i love being presentable!

let's visit an old pal

remember way back, when i mentioned this 'really nice plugin for modelling 3d plants'? well, it is now officially safe for me to say that i didn't use it. i didn't like the outcome, so i made my olive tree grow by hand. one keyframe after another. you bet it was tiring. but not as tiring as trying to fix the awkward forms the plugin has provided me. maybe i was a lousy user; maybe you can do fantastic things with it. but i wasn't patient enough to make it work. (xfrog, please don't sue me)...
here is my 'xfrog' olive tree...
and here is my version. what do you think?

not another entry on snow

what to do on a snowy wednesday? we built a snow lady (sorry, no photos). actually, we found a ready-made snow man (with eyes, scarf and all) and made it into a snow lady. she is really a hottie. we had some serious protests while adding the tits (why don't you protest when people are building a snow man, you hypocrites?). hehe. vandalism.

here, a good book for the snowy days to read with the company of hot chocolate: smilla's sense of snow:) why the wikipedia people changed the name, will always be a mystery for me. anyway, in the book our heroine (as far as i remember) talks about all different kinds of snow. today the snow here was really a good kind. fresh. easy to form snowballs. doesn't get flaky. doesn't soak woolen gloves too soon. glides easily and speedily in the air-although that might be more the quality of the thrower than the snow:D
