voila! this is the work in the exhibition:) since i didn't get permission, i cannot put the other peoples' works here. but i really would like to thank all my kind friends that helped me with their ideas, their photographing skills, their poses, their fun and their patience:D this is not an individual work at all.

ok, here's the link to what this workshop is all about... for me it was a great experience to work with all the different people from different backgrounds. i think it still is not finished, but let's see about that.

you exhibitionist

hihi yet another teaser for you here... i have been working quite a lot lately, and not just by myself. there was an intense workshop. i am not showing or telling anything else until... the exhibition begins!! can you believe? this will be the first time i suppose, that i am in an exhbition! yuppiiii:) can you guess what this can be a part of?

dangerous movements

a rattlesnake out of cardboard and newspaper. refillable marquers. colored pencils. a patient actor. simple lighting. tadaa! this is the second workshop video that i needed to upload, this time with 2.5 months delay. i think i might play around with this technique quite a bit. easy and fast. it was sooo much fun! what do you think?

a promise is a promise

hihi i told you that i would upload the videos from my workshops. this is the first one, coming with eight months delay. i hope i have been able to embed it correctly. there are some problems with the animations and timing (and the mug being moved by mysterious powers at one point), but please remember it was a two-hour workshop!! and i quite like the light, which was helped by dear hubby and one fellow colleague, who i thank a lot...so here you go:

well, well. we are back from this small city (kütahya to be exact) and my workshop is done. it was such fun! i hope everyone enjoyed it as much as i did. i was so excited i couldn't even realize i was being photographed during the workshop. that's me i guess. hihi, it was the first time in my life i used a microphone, and i had pretty funny moments while talking.

since i can't put anybody else's work here without permission (i had the animation done by some students), i am uploading a still from my own rehearsal of the project. wait, the movie is coming, too:)

the other workshop in december will be on too; i decided i won't be repeating it. i just don't know how to link to videos in vimeo. gotta find out soon!

so what do you think about these guys? can you guess what is going on? ok, i'll ask how you found it after i upload the video. the name of the film is: teeth of the cardboard. i'll include more info with the video, too.

on the road again

it is once more workshop time for me! i am going to the same cute small city that i went last year, hubby, students and all. i know, i know! gotta see some images! they are-a coming, don't worry...

i am no good

i can't believe i have not been blogging for 11 days. 11 days! i am preparing the workshop, though. slowly. what can i say, everything is kind of crazy currently. the rollercoaster spring weather is not helping too much, either. does it help you?

killer deadlines

what?? are you saying i need to prepare one more workshop in less than one month? don't you remember how long it took the last time? hm.. i don't know if i really need to panic. does it really take so long to prepare one for other fellow workshoppers?

dinner is ready

gee, i think announcing sometihng on the web does motivate me to finish it, after all!

i must happily anounce that i finished my mini workshop film, with the sound effects and all. hehe. i even uploaded it for some private downloading. i'm still hesitating on publicly uploading it, because of a possibility of repeating the workshop... i'm crossing my fingers!

the same goes with this one, hopefully. now that i am publishing my bag on the web, i have to finish it. and it's time that i did! i've been muttering about it for such a long time... it is becoming annoying even for me. if only i could get a few dimensions correctly...

por fin

i just finished my beloved workshop and i am now working on the outcome of it. which is an animated short. i was really moved with the participation. happy:) of course somethings had to go wrong. i forgot to edit the film with proper timing (which is actually what i'm doing now). hopefully tomorrow i can show the real deal, if it's not too late already. some titles, some thanks... i am dancing happy dances. will try to upload some photos that my friends and hubby took.

i'm about to fly

there are only 2 days left until my workshop. agggg! meanwhile, let me entertain you with this guy, who only serves for my teaching purposes. he helps me explain the importance of... materials:) boy, i really miss industrial design. i'm all designed up after the workshop:) some real stuff wouldn't hurt. are you coming?

a small break from everything

after all the workshop, festival, grading and preparing-for-classes craziness, i have found a 4.5 days rest:) not being happy with the color of my puppets, i think i still will have to work a little. i will have to do one last 'rehearsal'. maybe one short escape from the city and maybe one party, too:D

i'm glad that i don't see nightmares any more.

yes, here is the poster. my workshop will take place during the 'animation celebration' from 1st to 4th december. what will i be doing? well, you'll have to come and see for yourselves:) the date and place might vary a little. during my beloved influenza, i had to keep at home, meaning i missed the last meeting on the event. i will update in a while. i'm excited!!! brrr.

edit: i changed the poster to fit the actual time and place. the university is maltepe, of course:)

aagg! my puppets can't stand waiting for their time!! there is still at least a week for them to remain secret, so basically this is all i can give of them right now. but hey, i will inform everyone about the event. so that i can be even more humiliated if i can't make it. hehe. anyway, it is a two hour stop-motion workshop. i'm soo excited. here you can see that there is a lot of brutal painting going on, which, in fact i start to believe has not been a good idea. why oh why is there no undo in the real world?

i'm expecting you, too! please come! i'll upload my poster in a short while:)
