a designer's work is never done. never. i find a hi-tech fabric with a fancy name that is super fine, with the best texture and all, and it is too expensive. i find this super cheap fabric with the most mundane name, in these (yuck) strange colors (no offense, dudes), and it feels oh-so-wrong. things are always solved in a slightly different way than i expect, which basically drives me crazy! there must be a way! i'm not quitting, though. grrr. oh, and here is why i need some fabric for you who have just arrived to my blog:)

trees again?
once again it is time for me to design a book cover for my mom. she is doing it again! hehe she is one of my most consistent customers:D i hope this time the publishers do get the color right... nowadays i have this problem of too many things going on in my mind. so i'm trying to calm down a little. every project one by one. breathe in. breathe out. as for the cover, let's see what happens:)how are you and your mind doing these days?

january sucks
i just had too much fun overexposing effects in illustrator. i'm not even sure i can achieve the background image here once more. hehe. i think i like this effect better. still not completely happy with the colors, though. i'll try some combinations and upload here. lcd and crt monitors have a great color difference, by the way. anyone out there still using those monitors with huge tubes at the back?i kind of try to get rid of the misery that has been surrounding me for such a long time. it doesn't seem to be going anywhere, though. anyway, in that attempt, i did some major decluttering:) i did a clothes, extra paper and computer data massacre. i planned my week and month. the misery is still there, but at least i feel 'fresher':D. why does getting rid of unnecessary stuff gives one such a perverse pleasure? what does that have to do with anything? some sense of control maybe?

need more images
once more, i have been busy like crazy. an image-laden entry is due. right here where i'm working i don't even have a photo to post. i don't like these text-only entries, but you'll have to wait for a couple of days for a more colorful one. how about some colored text? no?

look i'm growing weeds on my tires!
hehe this is by far the most amazing vehicle i have seen in months:) don't you love the color and the crazy toyish shape? i don't think it has been moving around for a loong while. if i had such a lady, i sure would be cruising around the city! (but we don't do that, do we? with all the pollution and energy consumption and stuff.) this lady actually claims to be a 'mobile disaster container', so not a really humorous subject, but i can't help but giggle at it. and i am truly crazy about the design (no-not being sarcastic at all). lovely, don't you think?Monday, February 2, 2009
a sudden realization
it is a good idea to look at what your work at diffrerent monitors, with different programs. now i realize that my header is wayyyyy misplaced when looking via firefox!! and i thought the small gap between it and the top of the page via explorer was annoying!!!
ok, i have to ask you firefox users to pleeease switch to explorer for a short while when checking my blog. this time i really need expert help, and i know how to get it!
the colors, too, seem very phosphorescent through a different monitor. i can't pick which one would be the correct monitor setting, mine or the one i'm using right now? anyone have the same trouble?
ahh and one more thing, sorry for the delay in bobo's animations, but i really needed to do some show-off stuff (not involving my work, so i can't put images without permission, sorry:) and it took me waaayy more time than i guessed. the animations will be coming soon.
